Update: February 2016 >> This is the 40th year of Leonard Peltier‘s Illegal and Wrongful Incarceration by the United States Government. Leonard is currently suffering from a treatable but potentially deadly medical condition; an Enlarged Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm. He needs Surgical Intervention NOW!! Both his Prison and the Federal Bureau of Prisons are dragging their feet. This is Yet another example of Medical Neglect & Indifference…and it is TORTURE!!

There comes a time when Americans and especially the United States Government (both State and Federal) must truly Step out of Denial! It is time NOW for Our Country to remove its blinders, unplug its Ears, and open its minds! Refusal to acknowledge that there are Political Prisoners, Prisoners of Conscious, and Wrongly Incarcerated individuals within our seriously flawed Penal System is a Slap in the Face to those who seek Peace, Justice, & Equality for ALL persons living within the borders of the United States. Denying or Ignoring Human Rights is an Act of Torture! Our government is quick to point out violations of Human Rights in other Nations, but disavows those that take place here. Trust that the rest of the world is not blind to our actions! It is time to walk the talk and undo the Injustices we have put upon our own People! Do the Right Thing…because INJUSTICE ANYWHERE IS A THREAT TO JUSTICE EVERYWHERE!!

…to willfully neglect, refuse to administer or procrastinate giving humane treatment and healthcare to prisoners is torture. So too is withholding needed treatment and care for political and bureaucratic reasons. I refer you to the United States Constitution, the United Nations Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment and to the Geneva Convention; although the Geneva Convention refers to War, prison in my mind is War…. BFW .

For 4 decades (as of 2016), Leonard Peltier has been *tortured by The United States Government and its agencies. *referenced by the United States Constitution, the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the United Nations Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment and the Geneva Convention….
